MANAGEMENT TEAM



Founder

Professor Max Fehily


Professor Fehily is the clinical director and lead surgeon at The Manchester Hip Clinic and practises at Spire Manchester, The Wilmslow Hospital and Dubai. He specialises in surgery of the Hip and has a particular interest in the young athlete with soft-tissue hip problems as well as hip replacements in all age groups.




Surgeon

Miss Anne Foster


Miss Foster graduated from Manchester University in 1996 and trained in the North West of England. Throughout that training, she was focused on the specialty of Children’s Orthopaedics.  She was appointed as a Consultant at the new Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in 2008.




Practice Manager

Christine Dixon


Christine has been practice manager at The Manchester Hip Clinic since 2013. She has extensive experience of working in private practice, having previously worked for Spire Manchester and in the field of Plastic Surgery. She works exclusively for Manchester Hip Clinic and so is able to focus entirely on our patients, ensuring that they have a seamless patient journey.




Anaesthetist

Dr Abhuit Sinha


Doctor Sinha has worked as a Consultant on Professor Fehily’s team since 2007.
He grew up in Manchester, where his mother was a GP in Whalley Range. He worked extensively in London, the South East and Australia before returning to his native city, where he began his successful working relationship with Professor Fehily.




Anaesthetist

Dr Kamran Abbas


Dr. Abbas studied at Manchester University and after training in the North West became a consultant at Manchester Royal Infirmary in 2003. He has extensive experience of managing surgical patients in both orthopaedics and bariatric surgery, about which he lectures nationally.




Anaesthetist

Dr Ajmal Eusuf


Doctor Eusuf has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist on Professor Fehily’s team since 2007. He is one of three Consultant Anaesthetists who look after patients during procedures at the Manchester Hip Clinic. In addition to his surgical work, Aj is very active in medical undergraduate and postgraduate education.




Radiologist

Professor Waqar Bhatti


Professor Waqar Bhatti was appointed as a consultant to the University Hospitals of South Manchester in 2001. He has extensive experience in imaging patients with musculo-skeletal, sports injuries and works with a wide variety of elite sports.




Secretary

Angela Pattichis


Angela has worked with Professor Fehily since 2007 both within the NHS and at The Manchester Hip Clinic. She has extensive experience of dealing with patients and supports Christine in the running of the practice.




Podiatrist

Stuart Campbell


Stu is a biomechanist and podiatrist schooled by the world-renowned Professor of Biomechanics, Richard Jones of Salford University. He is passionate about sport and returning people back to their chosen activity being an ex-Team GB athlete and semi-professional rugby player himself.



The Manchester Hip Clinic is committed to helping all kinds of people with hip problems to be free from pain and often to resume near-normal levels of physical activity – even those who may have thought that such relief would never be possible.
